By 2050, more than 2 billion workers are estimated to live in urban areas. How can countries make the investments that matter most to building prosperous cities? In this Policy Research Talk on September 27, 2022, World Bank economist Rom¨¢n Z¨¢rate discussed recent models developed in the urban research literature, how they have been applied to cities within LMICs, and what they reveal about not only the direct but also the indirect effects of transportation investments.
